Am I nuts, going back to school at age 45? What am I thinking? Well I am thinking I am tired of going through life bouncing from 1 Customer Service Representative job to another! These type of jobs are very stressful and the turnover is very high! So I am thinking I need to get a career so I have the potential to advance in the field I choose to get my degree in! So I am going back to school to start out getting my associates degree in Health Information Technology AAS. Eventually I would like to go back and get my associates degree in Medical Diagnostic Sonography AAS. But for now since I can not lift the required 75 lbs for that field, that will have to wait! This is my 1st semester and since I had to take a few prerequisites to get into the field due to being out of school 24 years, I will be going for 2 1/2 years instead of 2 years. I have realized that the same courses I struggled with in H.S. are the same ones I am struggling with now! I am really struggling with my Algebra class and struggling a little with Biology class!

So I am changing the direction my life is taking as I have felt lead by the Lord to do! Instead of working full time, I am going to school full time and working a work Study for the college part time! When they don't have work for me to do, I do my school work! Please keep me in prayer as I have said, I have been out of school for 24 years and I am struggling a little! But I just keep telling myself With God I can do all things through Christ Jesus who gives me strength!! Philippians 4:13

* * * STEPS UP ONTO MY SOAP BOX * * * I am just amazed at how much technology has evolved over just the last 20 years! 20 years ago hardly anyone had a cell phone or Gameboy or ipad! People weren't locked into 2 year contracts to cell phone or satellite TV providers! I mean really, just 20 years ago it wasn't even that common for everyone to have Satellite TV ( The DVR just amazes me! You can pause or rewind live TV!!) or a Cell phone! Now they are everywhere & it is a lot less common for someone NOT to have satellite TV or at least a cell phone! Kids today see a rotary phone & say "what is that?" I heard someone say their daughter saw an older land line phone (the kind that has a cord from the phone to the base of the phone) & said "look Mommy, that phone has a leash! That was funny I admit, but kids today don't know anything but cordless phones & cell phones! Some families don't even have a land line phone & only have cell phones! Their kids don't even know what a land line phone is! I have heard of kids as young as 8 years old having their own cell phones!! COME ON PEOPLE, what 8 year old needs their own cell phone! Parents say things like I have to be able to reach them in case of an emergency! I really don't think that is the total truth! What did parents do to find or reach their children 10 or 20 years ago when they "wanted to get hold of their child"? I think it is just easier to give in! A lot of parents don't know how to or even want to say NO to their child when they are begging them for something!! I am so sick of this American mentality of "Keeping up with the Jones"!! Children in today's society need to learn that they have to earn things in life! It is not good if you give a child everything they want & they work for nothing!! That just makes them feel they are entitled & they don't need to work for what they want! America has created a very spoiled generation with very foul mouths & a complete lack of morals!! This generation acts like they are owed everything & if they want it, it should just be given to them! If you say you can't afford it, they often say just put it on your credit card!! They don't have any kind of real work ethic or morals at all! Mind you, I have had to ask for some things too. But if I don't NEED it, like fixing my car or paying a bill, I do not get it!! For the same reason, I do not have any credit cards!! Also
we have become a completely non social, texting society! I mean come on! I have had a child text me when I am sitting right next to them!! I see kids texting or using their Gameboys & not paying attention in Church or at a social event, being completely non social! How are these kids going to learn the social graces needed when they grow up to be able to function in society if their faces are always in their Gameboys or texting!! I feel if a child wants a cell phone, they need to be at least 12 years old & only have basic talking & texting. When they turn 16, they can get a job & contribute to the bill. I don't think they should have the internet on their phone either, because I feel the internet needs to be monitored until they turn 18!! That teaches them responsibility! Everyone also seems to have a Facebook or Twitter & Email accounts! I feel the same about social networking! Facebook & Twitter & Emails need to be monitored until they are 18 too! What about all this "Cyber, Email, Twitter, & Facebook bullying" It is way to easy with all this technology for kids to really hurt other kids! I keep hearing about kids committing suicide because they were being bullied through the internet & they just couldn't take it anymore!! Somehow the parents don't even know about it or if they do, they think it will just pass over!! Just because you don't like someone, that NEVER gives you the right to bully them!! If you don't like them, just stay away from them!! Computers should NEVER be in a child's room!! It needs to be in a room in the middle of the house where a parent can see what their child is doing!! Also parents need to know all these chat shorthands so they know what their child is saying! If you know your child is a bully & you do nothing, SHAME ON YOU!!!!! Cyber bullying & just plain bullying of any kind has become an epidemic in this country & it needs to be STOPPED!!! A lot of times technology is a good thing! But equally, if not monitored, it can be a really bad thing!! PLEASE be active & aware of what your kids are doing, saying & who their friends are!! It could mean a life!! PLEASE teach your children values, morals, & a good work ethic!! It is not necessary to always be keeping up with the Jones!! The Jones can't even really keep up with "the Jones" anymore!!
Lastly, I just have to add this!! All the boys & men who are wearing their pants buckled below their butts!! STOP IT!! That came from the prisons! It means a male inmate belongs physically to another male inmate!! That is just ignorant & plain tacky!! Girls & women stop showing your everything to everyone!! I do not want to see anyone's butt, boobs, belly, bra, underwear, or thong (how people can wear those is beyond me! They are so uncomfortable!!)!! I do not want to hear your bass or music, especially with the lyrics in secular music today!! I do not want to hear you rev up & race your car up my hill or anywhere else!! We know you are there! I do not want to hear your child screaming just because you said no to them in the store! Do not just continue shopping, letting them scream, forcing the entire store to listen to it for hours!! Take them outside or to the bathroom & calm them down!!* * * OK STEPPING DOWN OFF SAID SOAPBOX * * * Phew, I guess I needed to vent!!

Sometimes life just stinks

The word stinks does not exactly describe the trials that we all have to go through from time to time, but for now, that is the word I choose to use!

Back in December I left my job as a Customer Service Rep for 1 company to go work as a CSR for another company. For 2 very important reasons. 1st, it is 15 - 20 minutes closer to where I live (depending on traffic & weather) & with the rising gas prices, that was a must! 2nd, the previous job was so stressful that I hated it & dreaded going to work everyday! I was being yelled at & called all sorts of names by customers on a daily basis due to the company itself changing policies daily & starting to charge their customers fees for things that had not even happened yet! The company I used to do customer service for is a utility company which makes their product a necessity, not a luxury! They started charging deposits for just getting a disconnect notice, even if you pay & don't get disconnected, you have to pay the deposit & I saw them as high as $1,800!! I certainly DID NOT blame the customers for being upset, I would certainly be upset if that happened to me!! BUT I just don't ever think it is appropriate to curse & call ME names when you are mad at the company I represent! It is just as wrong if I do that! So, this new CSR job became avail in December & I switched jobs! The new CSR job is doing customer service for a major cell phone carrier. That means this service is a luxury, not a necessity! I have to say I don't get called names or cursed at nearly as much, Thank You Jesus!! This is a new account for the call center I just started work at & we are all still just learning about the company & all. That being said, the company is starting to change policies daily & that is so frustrating! I learn something on Friday & by the time of coming back to work Monday, policy changed! Also I have been sent home early 3 out of the 5 days this past week due to low call volume! They are sending around 50 people home early everyday! Which of course causes rumors to fly around that the cell company will pull out the account & we will all be out of a job soon! I realize at this point rumors are just that, rumors, BUT when I worked at another call center & those rumors flew & we were promised by the call center all was fine & we weren't in jeopardy of losing our jobs! It did happen & I was out of a job for 18 months! SO! Please pray God's will for me & job security! Ok SO I am required to keep ALL my belongings in a locker at work because of the "clean desk" policy. I can't even have a coat on my chair! So back on April 1st (2 weeks ago) some woman broke into my locker & stole a check out of my wallet & stole someone else's ID & made the check out to the woman who's ID she stole. She endorsed my check with her name & signed my name & COMPLETELY emptied out MY checking account & sent me into the negative!! I found this out by checking my online checking account & seeing the check on there! Knowing I did NOT write this check, I called the bank immediately!! I called the police & my work & told them what happened! But since the cameras at work are not close, they can't determine who was in my locker cause the lockers are all right on top of each other! I hate that I am still working with this woman because neither work, nor the police nor I know who she is! Also I come into work the following Saturday & my locker was open! I don't trust anyone! I also found out that the key locks I bought at Dollar General & also Office Max had universal keys & that several other people had the same locks & their keys opened my locks! So now I have a combo lock! On a good note, the bank had my money back in my checking account within 10 hours! I closed that account & opened another checking account! So it has been a stinky kinda month!

All that being said, God is STILL in control!! His word does NOT lie! I am standing on these scriptures to get me through!

Sometimes we have to re-give it to God

     What does one do when THEY think (emphasis on they, not God) they have already dealt with and resolved an "issue" in their life and thought it was finished and over with? A lot of our "issues" have a way of laying dormant for long periods of time and tend to come out when times are stressful! Such as changing a job, family issues, health issues, or when one is struggling financially! Well when all those things hit all at once, a volcano is bound to erupt and spread molten lava all over the everywhere and everything! Or in human terms your emotions can get hold of you and ooze all over the people around you and someone can get burned if accidentally caught in the line of fire!!
     These issues are known in the spiritual Rhelm as "Strongholds" and can cause a lot of trouble when not addressed and resolved at root core of the issue! Sometimes someone may need deliverance from a stronghold to get complete victory! Sometimes is takes more than 1 time of going to God in prayer and deliverance to get completely delivered, kinda like peeling an onion in layers! Sometimes God has to deal with us in layers, tearing down 1 stronghold at a time till He gets to the real root stronghold! satan is very sneaky and he will take his time slowly destroying us if we don't become wise to his schemes!!
   Fear, worry, stress, anxiety, self pity,and anger are often key strongholds that one might need deliverance from! All of these are sin and if we are to have complete victory in Christ Jesus, we must deal with these strongholds and get deliverance or they can literally kill you!! Fear killed my mother! There very thing she was afraid of, cancer, killed her because she was afraid to go to a doctor till it was too late! Anger can kill you by causing unforgiveness which can result in diseases that can kill you! Stress can cause heart problems and raise your blood pressure and become a silent killer like a ticking time bomb! At the very least, anger can come out at the most inappropriate times and make you regret what you have said and wish you had never said it! Which can open up a whole can of worms! All these things can also result in severe depression too!
          I myself have had to recently re-deal with some issues that I thought I had (again, emphasis on I thought) dealt with and completely resolved! I have gone through a complete change in my life in aspiring to become the woman of God that the Lord wants me to be! We all need to aspire to become Woman and Men of God we are meant to be able to complete the work God has sent us here to complete!! I don't know if God allowed this per say like what happened to Job, or if somehow I opened the door to satan by letting my guard down? But a lot hit me all at once, I recently changed jobs and lost my dental coverage and I got some bad news about my teeth, my niece and her family who live in Egypt were right in the middle of everything going on there with the unrest which was scary, I had a family member hurt me, and I have been struggling financially! satan took complete advantage of me due to my own spiritual unrest in my life and was torturing me while I was trying to sleep and for about 2 weeks I was not getting more than 3 hours sleep a night! I was physically and mentally exhausted!! Since I was so tired both physically and mentally, I was not aware consciously what satan was doing and my filters slowly came off! I was not fully aware of what was going on till I sought prayer from some valuable Godly Christian woman in my life! I had unknowingly let my guard down. Training for my new job was so early in the morning that I was extremely tired by 6pm in the evening. I was to tired to do anything but go to work and sleep. I stopped reading my bible and devotions. I now know that was a huge opening for satan due to not being grounded in God's word daily! I started listening to and believing satan's lies about myself and what other's thought of me and also opened a door for him to torture me!!
     Due to all this and letting my filters and guard down * *BAM * * out came the emotional bomb on some poor unsuspecting sales rep at a store who couldn't help me!! I am so grateful to God for convicting me immediately!! I felt so bad for what I had said that I must have gone back to the store and apologized to her about 15 separate times!!
   We need to always be on guard against the pit falls of anger, self pity, fear, worry, stress, and anxiety, especially when we are weary and tired!! These demonic pitfalls are the greatest danger we face as Christians! Stay complete away from even the edges of those pits! The edges can crumble way to easily and before you know it, you are down in the pit and they can come onto you so sutble and you might not even be aware they are there till they have already established a stronghold in your life as they had done to me!! It is a lot harder to get out of the pits, than to just stay away all together!! CONTINUE TO ALWAYS BE ON GUARD TO THE DEVIL'S SCHEMES!!
   I have said all this just to let the world know and be fully aware of satan and his manipulating and schemes!! We as Christians must stay in the Word of God and stay grounded and stay in fellowship with believers to fully be protected! The bible says fellowshipping with other believers is a KEY COMPONENT to a healthy Spiritual life in Christ Jesus!! Don't think just because you gave your life to the Lord that you are saved from persecution, cause that is a lie straight from the pit of hell!! The bible tells us that we will have persecution in our Christian walk, but that Christ will walk with us through that and get us to the other side if we allow Him!! Please allow Jesus to walk you through to the other side!! Allow God to change you into the image of Christ that we ALL need to be!!
     Good, solid ways to be on guard are to continually keep your eyes on Jesus! Continually have a thankful, grateful heart, even when times are hard! Continually be in prayer and conversation with our Lord Jesus Christ! Sing praises and worship to the Lord! Also put on your full armor of God to stand against the firey darts of the evil one!! That goes on the front and God will have your back at all times!! God Bless you all!!

Lord Jesus, thank You for giving me the weapons to defeat the devils schemes and lies! Help me to ALWAYS make good use of them! Thank You Jesus for being with me through my pain and struggles and helping me get through to the other side!! Thank You for helping me discover that satan has been attacking my mind and that he is the father of ALL lies!! THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME AND THANK YOU AND PRAISE YOU FOR DRAWING ME AND WOOING ME INTO YOUR MOST HOLY KINGDOM!! I LOVE YOU FATHER GOD!! Amen!!

What's next in the Middle East?

While no one knows the future, I believe that through a general understanding of the various geopolitical actors and atmosphere in the Middle East and surrounding regions, and a solid understanding of what the Bible says about the future, it is fair to make some general observations and predictions about what will happen next in that part of the world.
In light of the sudden shift in Tunisia and the complete instability in Egypt, everyone seems to be wondering what will come next. The following is a brief rundown of what the next several years should hold for the Holy Land, the greater Middle East and the surrounding regions.
First, let me say that what is happening in Egypt was entirely predictable. President Mubarak's self-imposed reign was bound to come to an end soon enough. Now just happens to be the time. Mubarak will not be able to retain power.
The fiery spark that burst forth from Tunisia and caught flame in Egypt will no doubt continue to spread with the end result being the collapse of a handful or even several regimes in the region. Yemen will be next. While I expect King Abdullah's Hashemite monarchy in Jordan to survive, all cards are on the table. The Saudi royal family will manage to hang onto power, but they will see their share of resistance, and before it's all over, the entire Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be decimated by the surrounding Islamic nations. But this is still quite some way off.
As the present era of Arab dictators comes to an end, the model that will be looked to is Turkey. And Turkey will be all too willing to lend its support in the establishment of these new Islamic democracies. The Obama administration will also fully support Turkey in her regional endeavors to this end.

The question for now is whether the transition to a new Egyptian government can take place peacefully or if it will result in a type of civil war and massive bloodshed. Either way, in the short term, the Brotherhood, the ideological child of Sayyid Qutb and Hassan Al-Banna, will be the biggest winner. After the dust settles and the Egyptian government is reformed, the Muslim Brotherhood (al-Ikhwan) will certainly ease their way into significant positions of power, not at all unlike Hezbollah in Lebanon. This could take as long as a few years, as it did with Hezbollah, but in all likelihood it will be a rather quick rise. In a dramatic and portentous shift, the U.S. and even Israel will be forced to recognize and deal with the strengthened Ikhwan Party in Egypt. When leaders from Hamas sit down with leaders of the United States, however, then we'll know that the war on terror has been officially lost.
In the midst of the shift, I expect Turkey (again, with the full support of the U.S.) to be the most actively engaged and visible actor in the region. If things destabilize enough, we could even see Turkish military action, but this is doubtful. Instead, we'll likely see Turkey use the moment to gain a significant paternal influence over some of the other governments in the region as they undergo regime changes. Egypt will resist Turkey's paternalism, seeing itself instead as the nation worthy of such a role. This will eventually result in a full-blown military confrontation between Turkey and Egypt, with Turkey emerging victorious. In anticipation of this day, now is the moment for the Christian prayer movement in Egypt to begin its final and greatest assignment. The United States, drained of finances and lacking resolve, will sit by idly as Turkey does as it pleases in the region, particularly when it is done in the name of establishing democracy, regional and even global peace, stability and security.
The greatest danger in all of this is the emerging unity coalition that will emerge between Turkey, Iran and the new democratic-Islamist governments. While this coalition will not officially be called a caliphate, it will in fact be the closest thing the world has seen in over 80 years. For all practical purposes, we will see the rise of a Neo-Ottoman Caliphate. And with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, presently the most popular leader in the Arab world, leading the way, he will be the closest thing to a caliph the world has seen in over 80 years.
When such a Turkish-Iranian-led alliance is formed, Israel will have little choice other than working with this new Islamic pseudo-democratic confederacy. Surrounded on all sides by hostile and now a well-organized power, and with the United States remaining relatively neutral, Israel will be forced to accept some form of regional "peace plan." This comprehensive peace and security initiative will include the establishment of a Palestinian state. And to the surprise of some, after the initial chaos and tumult settles down, there will emerge a period of calm. To the surprise of many religious Jews, Israel will even be offered a concession to rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem on the Temple Mount. The Mount will be shared by Jews, Christians and Muslims alike, causing some to herald this development as the sign of a new monotheistic age. Sadly, however, this peace will only last a few short years. Soon enough, it will be all the leaders of Turkey can do to hide her anti-Zionist bent. Even as Turkey attacked Egypt, so also will she lead an attack against Israel. These will be very dark days. Southern Israel will be entirely occupied.

As dreadful as this may sound for Israel, the nation that will actually be in the greatest danger, and which will live accordingly in the most fear of this new regional order, will be Saudi Arabia. The Saudis will do everything they can to hold onto their made-up kingdom. Bahrain, Saudi Arabia's neighbor, will likely see a revolt and, assisted by Iran, will come under the emerging Shia umbrella of power. The same could follow in Dubai.
In Africa; Tunisia, Libya, Sudan and Somalia will clasp hands and pledge support to the new Turkish-Iranian-led alliance.
For now, I'll stop. Like everyone else, I'll continue to watch the short-term for all of the unexpected twists and turns. No doubt, there will be many more surprises. But in the long term, the above scenario is roughly and loosely what I expect to see.
In conclusion, and on a very sober note, I plead with all who read this article to remember to pray for Israel and the Jewish people. Pray also for Egypt and all of her people, but especially for Egypt's Christians. The Christians of Egypt will no doubt be the hardest hit by the coming Islamist shift in their nation. Jesus promised that all those who sought to follow His example would undergo great hardships, persecution and even martyrdom in this age. In enduring such hardships faithfully and patiently, Jesus told His followers that they would be effective witnesses concerning the reality of the resurrection of the body and the Messianic kingdom to come. Rest assured, in the days ahead, Christians of the region will have ample opportunity to stand firm and follow the example of their Master.

Praising God for my New Job

I have not been able to take many pictures these last few months! Now it looks like a lot has changed & it isn't as easy as I'd like to post pictures here!

Over the last year I have had to do a job that I really didn't enjoy! All I ever do is say no to everyone pretty much! I had to drive 40 to 45 minutes to get there, & in the snow that was a nightmare!! So as of Thursday I got a new job which is 20 minutes closer & a little more pay! I think I will be doing more technical support, not so much customer service, prayerfully!! I am really praising God!! I have really been seeking God for a better job, closer to home!! God is good & ever faithful!! My God has & will continue to meet ALL my needs as long as I trust in Him!!

Thank You Lord Jesus for my everything!!

Mom Norva's surprise 75th Birthday party

Mom Norva turned 75 this year and had not had a birthday party since she was 10 yrs old! I was so blessed to do this for her! She is the woman God placed in my life to take my real Mom's place when she passed away 2 months after she passed. I planned this with her 2 sons & a few very close friends Rosemary, Karen, Jethe, Jackie & Sally. Thanks everyone it was beautiful!!
We had 2 cakes, 1 chocolate & 1 white.

Her favorite colors were rose & lilac. So I made the rose center pieces & decorated in lilac!

WOW! It sure has been a real long time since I did a blog post!! I have been so busy with work & planning a surprise birthday party & the up coming retreat next week, I just haven't had time to post anything! I also had some trouble & did not realize that photo Bucket had removed my background from my blog & I was trying for the longest time to figure out what was removed!! I almost deleted this blog & did another one. But I asked if anyone could help me because there was a box on my blog that I couldn't get rid of from Photo Bucket that was showing up that something was removed. In memory of my Mom on Mother's day

This was about a week or so after I was born.
This is my Oldest sister Debbie, brother Craig, Sister Vicki, Mom, & debbie's husband Scott and I am sitting on the ground...late September 1978.
I was told mom was 4 yrs old her, the photo was colorized.
This was in the early 1960s, just after my parents and sister's came back to live in the USA after living 3 or so years in Indonesia.
I think I was told my Mom was 14 yrs old here. Her grand kids resemble her a lot!

I just wanted to take some time and tell you what you mean to me! I love you and I am so very grateful to God He gave me you to step in and be my mother! He couldn't have chosen a better woman to take the place of my Mom after she passed away! You are very special to me in a way no one else can be! Father God sure knew what he was doing in putting us together, didn't He! We even met the year my Mom passed away, 2 months later and you and my Mom would be just 6 months apart in age. You waited 14 years for me to get my act together, and I am still getting it together! The Lord has done an extreme makeover on me inside and out and I will NEVER be the same again! I don't ever want to go back to the way I was before the retreat last October! You are a very loving, warm, caring, compassionate, ….and yes very patient Mom and for that I am extremely grateful!! Thanks for adopting me! Love ya!

Please keep my friend Debbie's 22 yr old daughter in law in prayer! She had several mini strokes and 1 major massive stroke on Monday morning and is in the critical care unit of the hospital. They are not sure of anything at this point, not sure if she has any brain damage! She has given the thumbs up, wiggled her right toe and squeezed her husbands hand! God is the great healer and physician, through Him all things are possible! Thanks and God bless everyone!!

A NEED TO VENT

I just have to take this time to vent on some subjects that are really bothering me!! This world is just a sad state of affairs we live in today!! We, as a whole DON'T VALUE life, young or old, born or unborn!! We don't value the sanctity of marriage and family!! We don't value leadership and positions of authority!! We SURELY DO NOT value our Father God or the Lord Jesus Christ, let alone the church as a whole!! All this world seems to care about is ME ... ME ... ME ...ME ...ME!! I AM TIRED OF LISTENING TO ALL THE FOUL MOUTHED PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO USE SWEAR WORDS EVERY OTHER WORD!! I know it is out of lack of respect for themselves or anyone else!! BUT the "F" or the "B" bombs are just completely INAPPROPRIATE and UNNECESSARY and need to be ELIMINATED from EVERYONE'S vocabulary!! I work as a Customer Service Representative, the one you call when you are having trouble with your services. IT IS NEVER APPROPRIATE to call us names, swear at us, scream at us, or say foul things to us because you are in a bad mood, having a bad day, or having problems with your services!! That DOES NOT make us want to help you!! It makes us want to ignore your request or problem and hang up on you!! I believe the old saying goes, you get more from using honey than vinegar!! If you are respectful to us and don't yell or call us names, you get get a lot more accomplished!! If you can refrain and wouldn't say it to your mother or your Pastor, DON'T SAY IT TO ME, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!! I will give you the basic respect you deserve till you abuse it or me, then I am done with you!! THIS GOES DOUBLE & TRIPLE FOR ALL THOSE OUT THERE THAT CALL THEMSELVES CHRISTIANS AND CLAIM THE LORD JESUS IS THEIR SAVIOR!! WATCH YOU MOUTHS!!

Sorry I have not posted anything recently!! My sister keeps telling me I need to update you all!! Since I started my new job at the beginning of November, I have just been so busy with work that I am just to tired when I get home to do much else! My only 3 days off are filled with catching everything up! I work Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, 4 ... 10 hour days! I am spent on those days when I get home and on Thursday all afternoon I go to my ladies prayer group (I hate missing this). So I only have only Thurs morning and Saturday to get things caught up, of which I am doing laundry as I type this! ;-) And Sunday of course is for church and my church bowling league!!
So what has been going on lately ..... hummmmm let me think!! OH YEAH!!! I won a pair of tickets to go to the Casting Crowns "Until the whole world hears" concert this Saturday!! So this Saturday I will be getting ready and going to downtown PGH for my very 1st EVER concert!!! I am soooo excited!! I can't wait!! I have been trying to post the Casting Crowns "Until the whole world hears" video from YouTube, but for some reason it says it is posting it, but it does not post??? I will TRY to remember to post how it went next weekend!! (No promises, I may forget) Talk to you all later! I pray you all have a great God blessed day and weekend to come!!

Yesterday the Werre family and the Orchard Christian Fellowship Church congregation lost a great Godly man, a teacher for the Lord, Gene Werre!! But he is not lost forever, just temporarily on this side of eternity!! He has changed addresses and has gone onto Glory to be with our King of Kings, our Lord of Lords, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!!!!! He is worshiping the Holy Father with the Angels now!! He has, I am sure, collected his many crowns to lay at the Father feet, and is now living in his mansion of gold!! I for one and I know others too, are looking forward to when we will see him again in Glory with my Mother, My Grandma, Stephen Proprosky, Jerry Filla, Alice Kelly, and many many more!! Gene you will be sadly missed,but NEVER forgotten!! PRAISE GOD you have recieved your healing and are transformed before the Lord of Hosts!! See you when we all get there Gene!!

I pray a special blessing on the entire Werre, Custer, Cribbins & extended family as they go through this time of grief and hardship! Holy Spirit please surround and comfort the entire family during this time, in Jesus name I pray, Amen!!

This is my great nephew, Royce! This was Tuesday night. Don't you just LOVE that face! I think he was a little bit, ummmm miffed at something that night?? Love ya Royceeeeeee!!

This was Tuesday night at the Gazebo. My niece Annalise and cousin Starling wanted to do a koolaide stand for the family. They each made a little money. This is also the night I was bit by a nasty spider which left a nasty bruise on my left inner leg!
This was Wednesday morning, Dad's traditional blueberry pancake breakfast for the entire family, all 50 of us! By the end of the morning the condo was smoke filled, but everyone was full and blessed! Thanks Dad! This was Cousin Grace.

Forgiveness is like an onion, comes in layers

God has been working in my life to forgive the men who have hurt me, who I thought I had already forgiven, but I guess not completely! I have often heard people say that forgiveness is a process like peeling an onion, it comes in layers! One can say I forgive you and you think you have totally forgiven them, but the feelings of hurt still come up from time to time! I have had 3 serious relationships in my life. 2 of them were before I became a christian and the last one was just last year. All 3 of these guys cheated on me. I went through a serious depression because of this! I felt like what is wrong with me that every man I date ends up cheating on me? I must be really messed up! Well God has really done a work in my life, and it has been over the last 3 years, but especially over these last few months! But when this last guy cheated on me just last year, it brought up a lot of bad feelings and hurt in my life, we were talking marriage. I thought my life was finally going where I wanted it to go and I was finally going to be happy! Did you catch the part where I said it was going where "I wanted it to go and I was finally going to be happy"?? I was stuck on what "I" wanted, not what God wanted for me and my life! None of these men were for me from God and "I" was trying to make this happen in my life in "MY" timing! Well as you would expect, I again went through a lot of questioning as to why God didn't want me to be happy and have a good life. I had issues with Anger, Hatred, loss, depression, I was just plain angry that every guy I dated was a lying, manipulating, cheating, user! Why did they use me like they did? This is how I felt. Well As I said God has really done a work in me! I have finally processed my feelings towards these men (forgiveness is a process). I have had to even forgive God! I was angry with God for not letting me have what "I" wanted for my life! I had to come to the realization that what "I" wanted wasn't God's best for me! I had to come to the realization that God knows what's best for me and I just shouldn't settle for anything! So I can say now that I have truly forgiven these men and I want God's best for them!

Recently I have been using my blog as a journal for my thoughts. A way of expressing myself, sharing what God has taught me! God has been showing me a lot recently about myself and Himself!! Here is some of what I have recently learned! Maybe it can help someone else, to let you know you are not alone in these thoughts.

What I am about to write, I believe most my family already knows so bare with me guys. I want to say, I know feelings can and often do lie and I want to prefice this by saying I NO LONGER feel this way!! ..... In the past I have always felt unimportant, useless, ugly, fat, and just plain a bother to everyone and everything in my life (especially my family), like I am the black sheep of my family! My Dad often, definately not meaning to I am sure, made me feel fat, ugly, and unlovable! It was his way to motivate me to lose weight by harping on me constantly about my weight and telling me things like "he would never marry a woman who looked like me or never hire a woman who looked like me" in front of a lot of my family members! Or when he felt I was eating to much, he would slap my hand in front of several family members! Instead, that just made me feel embarrassed, ugly and unlovable! That hindered my protraying myself as lovable to any man! Thus I only attracted jerks who used me, cheated on me, and hurt me! It has often bothered me that I am 42 and never married and I don't have any children, when I so deeply want to be a wife and a mother! Being single can be very lonely at times, especially when you are a seasoned single (a long time adult, solo single) like I am! I know logically Jesus is always there and sends me the Holy Spirit as a comforter whenever I need Him, as He has done MANY times in the past! But sometimes I just want and need a physical, tangible man to hold me and to let me cry, or to tell me that he loves me, or even to just let me feel loved emotionally!! A man who I know loves me for who I am and wants to share the rest of his life together with me and build a family with me, till the return of Christ!! I have to admit I often felt like my family does not see me as an equal to them because I am not married. Thus a lot of the times I have felt like what I say is not listened to or is unimportant to them and that my feelings just don't matter, especially by some of my nieces and nephews. I have felt like they didn't love me, that they just put up with me because I was family! When I have felt like this, the way I have handled it and often reacted came out of insecurities within me, thus I did not always react as I should have, with grace and meekness! I certainly was not a good role model to the next generation!! For that I am truly sorry!! I am still a continual work in progress and unfortunately God made me a strong willed woman! I know this because my sisters don't let me forget it! :-) I want to stress here that I love my Dad and family very much and I KNOW THEY ALL love me too!! But when we...I have a lot of insecurities, satan runs with that and makes things OFTEN seem SO MUCH WORSE than they actually are and he distorts our...my true perspective on the situation!! satan is a liar and only out to kill, steal, and destroy us...me!! Thus the insecurities make us...me react badly!! That is not an excuse, just an explaination! Well I am DONE reacting out of insecurities and half truths!! I used to let satan reck havoc on my mind and make me believe my family and a lot of my friends all thought they were better than me, that I was useless and unimportant because I wasn't married!!! WELL THAT ENDS HERE AND NOW!! I can finally see myself the way my heavenly Father does, as His beautiful creation!! I AM lovable, God does NOT make junk!! We...I am beautifully and wonderfully made in His image!! God is beautiful, so we...I am beautiful! I KNOW my family loves me and wants for me to be happy and to prosper!! So as the song by Franchesca Battestelli (I not sure if I spelled her name right?) says, I'm letting go of the life I planned for me and my dreams! I'm losing control of my destiny and giving it solely to Jesus!! Jesus wants us...me to know He loves us...me and He will be our...my Father, Friend, Husband, Lover of our...my soul, Provider, Confidant, and Comforter if only we...I will let Him be!! I would NOT have made it through these last 3 years if I didn't have my heavenly Father and my family, especially my sisters, to love and to help me through it!!

THANK YOU TO MY FAMILY, I LOVE YOU ALL, EVERYONE SO VERY MUCH!! I PRAY GOD BLESSES YOU ALL RICHLY (and I mean in every way!) IN THE COMING YEARS!! ALSO FOR MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE BEEN THERE FOR ME TOO!!!!!

The Perfect Storm by Beth Moore

Here is some of the teaching by Beth Moore, summerized from my notes! A few of you requested I post this, so here it is.

The 7 points of the perfect storm, going through them and emerging on the other side with your faith still intact.

1. "Sometimes we are in the spot where several storms collide!" You can have 1 or more of your own storms going on in your life & someone tries to pull you into their storms! Keep up the courage, none will be lost! Acts 27:13, 21-26 & Eph 6:10-20 (The Full Armor of God). Schemes have a method, their name is satan, We are in a battle between good and evil! Let God fight the Battle through us & for us!
2. The question of fault always arises in a storm! What did I do to deserve this, Why is am I being punished?
3. The titanic temptation is to give way to the storm & let is blow us back! John 3:8 We need to remember God is holding us through these storms He can use a non christian as well as a Christian to teach us or to bless us, to help us emerge through these storms!
4. To make it through these storms, we may need to cut some ropes! Sometimes carnal things, sometimes people that are hindering our growth and walk with the Lord! It may be permanent or just for a season. God will let you know!
5. Our lives can invite the favor of God to many! We can be a testimony to other by how we choose to go through these storms!
6. On the other side of the perfect storm, the destroyer is ALL bite and NO venum! satan can not do anything to us God does not allow! If you are going through a "Perfect Storm", there is a reason! Seek God for the answers!
7. The point to every perfect storm is to see the works of God in us UNHINDERED!!

What we need to remember as we go through these storms of life is that we have the power of the Holy Spirit to help us through them! God will never leave us nor forsake us, He gives us that promise in His word!! He is not letting us go through these storms alone! He is right there beside us, or even carrying us through the storms of our lives! We may have to go through these storms in life for a season, but how we choose to handle them may cause us to either go through them quickly or take longer. Are we going to trust God to use us & carry us through them, knowing He will somehow get us to the other side, having learned what we need to learn, having a closer trust in & walk with him, or are we going to let the storms overtake us & push us backwards & cause us to lose our blessings & hinder our walk with the Him? Thus probably causing us to have to go through a similar or even worse storm again! The choice is ours!!

God gave me a desire of my heart

I want to share how God very lovingly gave me a desire of my heart and provided for the entire thing!! This will be long, so bear with me, it is totally worth the read!! This past weekend my friend Shelly and I went to the Beth Moore conference in Pittsburgh, PA. I have wanted to go to a Beth Moore conference for quite some time now and this was the 1st time they were coming to Pittsburgh. Beth Moore is a totally anointed teaching speaker to women. Both my sisters went to her conference when she was in Louisville, Kentucky and said they were totally blessed by being there and that it was totally anointed!! Tickets cost around $60 and at this present time, being that I have been unemployed now for 13 months, I just couldn't afford that. I never thought I could go, so I tucked it away in the back of my mind and forgot about it! WELL GOD DID NOT FORGET ABOUT IT!!! God remembers the desires of our hearts, even if in the grand scheme of things they are relatively small desires, they are important desires to God!! He desires to bless us!! This is how I know not only was I meant to be there, but my friend Shelly was meant to be there also!! 1st I was blessed with 2 free tickets to the entire conference, a $120 value!! I have Beth Moore's blog linked to my blog. Her ministry was giving 10 free tickets to the conference to the 1st 10 women who called a number posted on her blog. This all happened REALLY FAST, I called the number on Thursday afternoon, the conference was the next 2 days, Friday and Saturday! I spoke to a very nice woman who informed me she thought they had already given all the tickets away, but took my phone number anyways. So I forgot about it and went to my ladies prayer group. I got home and there was a message on my machine to call this lady back right away. I called and she said they still had a few tickets and I could have 2, I had previously told her I wanted to take my sister Debbie, but had forgotten she was going away for the weekend. So I asked if I could take my friend Shelly. She asked me if Shelly was a blogger, I said no, but that she would really be blessed to go, she needed this!! The ministry wanted to give these tickets to only women who blogged, but she said let me ask and put me on hold. Well I was on hold for about 3 minutes and she came back. She said the team felt they should make an exception, so I would have 2 free tickets waiting for me at the door! I was SO excited! 2nd, Shelly's Mom lives 20 minutes from the conference center and said we could spend the night at her apartment and that she would watch Shelly's 2 children for her. That soooo saved on time and gas! We live over an hour away from the conference center! 3rd, parking was supposed to be $10 a day for people attending the conference. Shelly paid the $10 for Friday, and I was supposed to pay the $10 for Saturday. Well parking ended up being free Saturday. Shelly wanted to bless me again and would not let me give her half of the parking for Friday night! 4th, we had great seats, we were 3rd row back from the stage BOTH DAYS!! 5th, Beth spoke on the perfect Storm. How when you can have your own storm going on in your life, sometimes even 2 storms and someone pulls you into their storm, how they can all collide and create a perfect storm!! She was as she kept saying throughout the conference "Bird dog on point"! She spoke right into what was going on in both our lives and we were both so blessed and learned from the Lord as she ministered to us both beautifully!! 6th and Last but certainly not least, I thought it would cost around $20 in gas to go this weekend, so I put that much in my gas tank. I did not think I could afford even the gas to go to the conference, but I knew Shelly and I were meant to go and be there, so I gave it to God. I told Him I knew he would take care of it somehow! Since we stayed at Shelly's Mom's, it ended up costing around $10 in gas. While we were leaving the conference I opened up my purse to get my keys out and found $20 sitting on top of my wallet!! I have an idea who put it there, I believe this woman sitting behind me was listening to the prompting from the Lord and put it in my purse, but I am not for sure. I am taking it as straight from God!! I felt lead to buy a teaching CD as we were leaving and going down the stairs!! The $20 covered the gas and the CD I bought!! This entire weekend conference did not cost me a thing, God provided for it all!! We were so obviously meant to be there and it was so a God thing that God worked it all out and provided for every aspect and financial cost for the entire weekend!! It would not have all fell into place and worked out as well as it did if anyone else had gone with me!!! God is so faithful and awesome!! I love You so much Lord! Thank You Jesus for giving me this desire of my heart, and blessing me in the process!!!!!

The Beth Moore Conference 6-12-09 & 6-13-09

This is the awesomely anointed Praise and Worship leader Travis Cottrell on screen. Also pictures of him and his team of which one of the men is a Jeremy Camp look-a-like! That's him in pic below! I thought he was Jeremy Camp at 1st till I saw him with Travis on his team! The praise and worship was awesome! It was so anointed and Shelly and I pretty much cried the whole time from the anointing of the Holy Spirit!! So Anointed! We were soooooooooo blessed!!

There were 6,000 women there and I tried to get a small portion in a picture. But it came out too dark and not easily seen, but that is what this picture was, of a group in the crowd. There was a bridal party there. Saturday was the day of her wedding and she choose instead of going to a spa day, to take her bridal party to the Beth Moore conference to hear from the Lord on her big day! That wedding is going to be blessed for sure!!
This was when Beth started teaching on Friday night. She said that this was the 1st time to PGH and that her and her team were so blessed by the city and the people here! Shelly and I were 3rd row back from the stage BOTH DAYS!! She is a really anointed, biblically accurate teaching speaker to women for Christ! She is also a self proclaimed woman in hyperspeed for God! She talks fast and furious and completely on fire for God! She is a blessing!

She is also a self proclaimed ziplock baggie addict! She got a new I-phone 3 days before the conference and wanted to keep it in pristine condition, so she keeps it in and talk through it in a ziplock baggie! So funny!! LOL@Beth
Okay, now if you really squint your eyes, you can see a couple on the screen. This was the drummer Kevin, from the praise and worship team. Video is above on the right hand side, 2nd one. On Saturday morning he proposed!! Friday night was his 30th birthday and his girlfriend Ashley "thought" she was suprising him by coming to the conference for his birthday. Well Travis pulled Kevin, Beth (Birthday Tuesday), and another singer from his team (her birthday was that day, Saturday) up on stage to have the drummer Kevin's GF "surprise them" with flowers and have us sing happy birthday to them. As everyone was leaving the stage, Kevin grabbed Ashley's hand, got down on 1 knee and proposed to her on stage in front of everyone and the crowd was going crazy, including me! She said yes, of course. Well what actually happened was that everyone had it planned and knew about this happening except her, even her parents and his parents were in the audience to witness this! HOW ROMANTIC!! * BIG SIGH * HOW TEAR JERKINGLY, UTTERLY, AND COMPLETELY ROMANTIC!! Where are all the romantic men at? I think they are down south! ( Beth and team are from Texas!)

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Would you be mine, could you be mine! Won't you be my neighbor!!" LOL....Beth says he is incredibly blessed to have a wonderful wife and family!!

This is as the conference came to a close, we were praising the Lord and Beth took off her high heeled platform wedges (really cute shoes) so she could jump and dance!

My dream job

I have been really praying about where God wants to take my life and what kind of job can I do well. How can I apply my dreams into a job? I want to make sure I don't step out of the Lord's will for my life! I want my life to be a ministry for the Lord! I want to always honor Him in all I say and do!
My dream job would be a wedding/events planner. With a side job of selling my jewelry I make, online. There are a few things I know I am good at. I am good at getting donations. I have been quite successful at this when I go around the valley and get donations for the church chinese auction fund raisers which I have done for several years. I know I am also good at decorating. I get lots of compliments on my apartment being nicely decorated and feeling cozy. I have helped people in the past to do their small weddings and they came out nice. I am aware of what it would entail to set up and start a business of being a wedding/events planner. I am a smart woman and I think if I had the resources and the vendors, I could do it quite well. I love to be able to help people make their day a spectacular event and day for all involved and attending these functions! I am also good at making jewelry, I have been complimented on the many earrings and necklaces I have made for myself. Anyone out there in the area need a wedding/events planner, let me know, maybe I can help and I am reasonably priced! LOL * Wink Wink * Around the holidays, I would love to go to people's houses and decorate their houses for them, and Christmas trees and all!
I am praying if this be God's will that He make a way and open doors to be able to do this and get the resourses and vendors needed to succeed! But I also pray that if this is just my desire, and not the will of God, He close the doors and it just doesn't happen in Jesus name I pray, Amen!! It is in your hands Lord Jesus!!
