A thought for Christmas

I have some thoughts I would like to share with you all about the true meaning of this Christmas season. Really how we should ALL be through out the years to come. I am a born again christian and I believe with all my heart and soul that the TRUE meaning of Christmas is to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! The love of Jesus should be TOP priority this season, and year round!!
Recently on Black Friday, of this year 2008, a 34 year old temporary sales clerk working for Walmart for the Christmas season in Long Island, New York was killed and as many as a dozen people knocked down,
4 of whom were injured enough to have to go to the hospital, one was 8 months pregnant. This man whom left his family greeving, was stampeded to death by a crowd of atleast 200 that were waiting to get in the store and buy their stuff and get a deal. This man was KILLED and died a very painful death, because several out of control, GREEDY, frenzied people wanted to get inanimate objects that are here today, gone tomorrow before anyone else got them!! No shopper even stopped to help any of them up or see if they were ok (obviously he was NOT ok)!! When Walmart tried to close and asked people to leave due to the tragedy, people kept shopping stating I have been waiting since early morning, I am not leaving without my stuff! When is it EVER right for someone to die (ANYONE'S LIFE IS SO MUCH MORE VALUABLE than any inanimate object) or even be injured so someone can get a Wii or a 50" TV at a reduced rate before someone else gets it!! This true story breaks my heart! I hurt for that family that now associates Thanksgiving with his death!! THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE FOLKS!!!!
Thanksgiving, Christmas, the entire holiday season, if nothing else should be about love, friends and family, celebrating life and Jesus!! Please keep everything in perspective as we approch tomorrow being Christmas eve and Christmas!! Please value life so much more than any inanimate object!!!!! Remember when you go out shopping tomorrow and the day after Christmas, Looking for that great deal, be respectful of others! They are just as important as you are in God's eyes! He loves them JUST AS MUCH as He loves you!! Let the Elderly have that close parking space. Don't steal a parking spot right out from under someone who has been waiting on it. Don't push someone out of your way, let the other person have the inanimate object they want,
if it is that important to them! Nothing is worth a human life being lost! NOTHING!!!!!
As I close this personal thought, I want to wish everyone a great and very merry Christmas and a very very blessed and prosperous New Year, 2009! Remember, Jesus is the REAL reason for the season! God Bless You all and I love you all!! Please leave your comments and let me know how you feel.

This blog is NOT to be used as a forum for anything nasty, rude or foul!! I am QUITE prepared to delete any comment I deem to be nasty, rude, foul, or have swearing of any kind! Please be respectful!! Thank you very much!

The year for Jacque in review

Merry Christmas everyone! I thought I would blog my Christmas letter this year to let you all know what has been going on in my life this past year. Well I started out the year still working for the call center, PRC on the DirecTV account as Customer Sevice, billing, and Customer Installation. In mid February PRC filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy. We were advised that nothing would change and our jobs were secure, but this did not turn out to be the truth. DirecTV pulled out of the call center and as of April 30th, we were no longer on the account. A lot of us did work a 2 week temporary account, Pitney Bowes, which handled the Postage rate change for businesses. But as of May 13th, 2008, I was laid off. They did not have a shift available on any other account for me to transfer to this time. I have been looking for employment, but have not been able to find anything due to the bad economy. Keep me in prayer please since unfortunately I am still unemployed, but I trust God will make a way for me soon!
I did move in mid June to a much smaller apartment where I had to downsize and get rid of about two thirds of my stuff. I can walk my apartment from 1 end to the other in about 20 seconds! Now that is small! I moved to an apartment where I had 3 Jamaican men living across the hall. They were nice men here on a work visa. They have all since gone back home to Jamaica as their visas have all expired at the end of November. I now live up here alone. I have no upstairs neighbors, only downstairs. It sure is quiet! All in all, it is a much nicer apartment and a much quieter neighborhood. I love it. I did have a 3 and a half month relationship, but that was not meant to be and he was NOT the one for me!
As you are reading, I have started a blog about my life too. Please leave a comment at the bottom of each entry where it says post a comment and let me know what you think! I also started a Facebook account this year! It makes it easy to talk to friends and family and stay in touch.
God has been with me through all the ups and downs this year. I went to an awesome Ladies retreat with my church and ladies from several other churches in late October, God really moved and healed a lot of broken hearts that weekend! God seems to really be placing women with broken hearts on my heart and in my spirit to really pray for them. Who knows, maybe it will be my ministry?
Things at my church have been good. I decorated the church fellowship hall for the Fall Harvest Dinner Dance we had, and I am helping organize the Ladies Fellowships monthly get togethers.
I thank God for He has really blessed me with a great group of friends, some old and some new! Thanks for being there for me, I LOVE YOU ALL DEARLY !! Well as I end this letter, I pray that the Lord be with you and give you all a very blessed and prosperous 2009!! God Bless you all! I love you all dearly!! Also Please remember to pray for the next President, Barak Obama for wisdom in the next 4 years to come! Also Remember to pray for the economy too.
In the word of a little boy, I believe his name was Tiny Tim, God Bless us all, everyone!! Have a great 2009 everyone!!

Winter Wonderland Video

This is a short video of the winter weather we got last night. The crunching is me walking on the snow, wind in the background. Got a few Christmas light on my street too. This is out back porch door, side street.

Ladies Fellowship Christmas Party

Here are some pictures of my churches Ladies Fellowship Christmas party. Also since I only have a few, I added in the pictures I took at my Christian Singles Christmas Dinner Dance. Yes, I straighten my hair for the dinner dance! LOL. It took me about 45 minutes to do it, so it will not be an everyday event. I am WAY too lazy for that! I will save that for special occasions and when I go out, as if I go out! LOL! Oh, the winter pictures were taken on my way to Jethe's house, in Twilight Hollow, to help her get ready for the party. I co-hosted it with my Pastors wife, Jethe. We had a lot of fun! Enjoy all!

Winter Wonderland

These are some pictures of the storm that came through yesterday and last night. We were under a severe winter weather storm watch with ice. I took some at night. Winter has arrived with a vengance here in PA. I actually got a few where you can see the snow falling too. Neat!

Christmas Tree and apartment decorations

Well I guess it has been a while since I blogged. Sorry for that! I have just been a bit busy these days. But I finally got my pictures saved on my hard drive so I can post some more on here and blog about them! LOL. I am technically challanged and it took me a while to figure out how to upload pictures straight from my digital camera ( and 2 videos ) to my computer hard drive. I had to have help! LOL.....I said I was Technically challenged! Well Here are some pictures of my Christmas tree and house decorations. The wreaths are on my doors. The burgandy is on the front and the white one is on my back porch door. My friend Maryann has helped me decorate my tree for the last 3 years, it is a nice little tradition. I made a good bit of these decorations and ornaments! If you see something you like, call me, I can maybe make one for you. I do make and sell crafts and jewelry too. By the way I am the snowman queen! I just counted and I have 35 in this tiny little apartment! LOL

Scripture for the week!

Scripture of Thanksgiving for the week.

Psalms 95:1-7

Oh come let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
Let us come before His presence with Thanksgiving.
Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
For the Lord is the great God, and the great King above all gods.
In His hands are the deep places of the earth.
The heights of the hills are His also.
The sea is His for He made it, and His hands made the dry land.
Oh come let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
For He is our God and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hands!

Thanksgiving

Hello all! I pray you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We all have so much to be thankful for! I celebrated Thanksgiving this year 2 times. On the actual Thanksgiving day I went to my friend Shelley's house to be with her and her family (pictures on bottom with the tree). It was a blessed time and I really enjoyed spending time with them all. That's Angelina, Shelley's little girl, with whipped cream all over her face! LOL

Since my sister's hubby had to work on Thanksgiving day, the family celebrated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Also a very nice blessed time. Debbie's oldest son David and his new wife Carissa came in for a few days. Carissa had to fly to Kansas City to visit her very sick Grandma, so they spent Thanksgiving day with my other sister, Vicki. Then they drove to Debbie's. Debbie's mother in law Carol and her companion Jack also came over.
All in all a doubly blessed time both days. Well Bye for now and God Bless All!
